SEPTIC INSTALLATION & REPAIRS IN VERNON, NJ

When you’re an EarthCare customer, you can rest assured that each time we service your septic system, we’ll also inspect each of its components, to make sure they are working properly and will continue to do so.

The fact is, our top-notch septic system repair crew can handle just about any repair your system needs.  That includes…

… repairing or replacing new septic covers

… installing septic filters

… repairing and replacing lines and distribution boxes.

… installing a Build Up (also called a Riser) to raise the level of your cover closer to (or even with) the surface. This is an important factor when Old Man Winter comes to town.

… inspecting your septic tank for cracks, leaks, holes and the occasional gremlin and, if possible, sealing it up as a means of saving the septic system.

SEPTIC SYSTEM DESIGN & ALTERNATIVE SEPTIC SYSTEMS:

Believe it or not, many areas don’t have soil which is suitable for a typical septic system. In those situations, an alternative system is needed. Alternative systems are also necessary (sometimes) if there are too many septic systems in the same area or the systems are too close to groundwater or surface waters.

There are all kinds of alternative systems. Many use sand, peat or plastic media – instead of soil – to promote wastewater treatment. Other systems might use wetlands, lagoons, aerators or disinfection devices. In each of these, float switches, pumps and other electrical or mechanical components may also come into play.

As you might guess, all this new technology needs extra care and maintenance and alternative systems should be inspected annually. Check with your local health department or give us a call for more about these!

SEPTIC SYSTEM REJUVENATION

Like you, your septic system can get worn out. Unlike you, unfortunately, it takes more than a margarita and a weekend at the beach to bring it back to life.

Over time, the leach field in your system – whose job it is to remove contaminants and impurities – may stop draining water properly. When that happens, a special cleaning will help rejuvenate the soil absorption system.

There are a few options for rejuvenation; ask our experts which one is best for you:

Custom Cleaning:

Here we pump your leach field, install a Leach Field Port, perform high pressure water jetting, and add our special formula of system-cleaning Boost Bacteria (no, you can’t have the recipe).

This option is a good fit for homeowners who want a customized and comprehensive septic system cleaning.

Sewer Jetting:

Sewer jetting is just as it sounds: We jet high pressure water down sewer lines, leach field lines and more. (Sorry, we are prohibited from using this on your visiting relatives.)

This is a good option for homeowners who want to avoid line blockage, or for those on the town sewer system who have issues with blockages in their main plumbing line.

TERRALIFT FOR SEPTIC LEACH FIELDS

TERRALIFT FOR SEPTIC LEACH FIELDS

Another option for rejuvenation is aeration of your leach fields.  That’s because over time, the fields may become saturated with water and gases beneath the surface of the ground, causing the earth below to become compact, clogged and, in a word, icky.

TerraLift offers a long term fix for these problems – and without the high cost and excavation required when replacing an entire leach field.

Using a patented soil restoration process, TerraLift can add years of life to any field (we know what you’re thinking: if only the process worked on humans). It can also be used in parks, golf courses, construction sites and more. Basically any place where accumulated water causes problems.

But wait, it gets better. We offer a one year guarantee on your revitalized leach field. If, for any reason, the soil re-compacts within 12 months, EarthCare will come back to the site and redo the TerraLift process for free.

How Does TerraLift Work?

The TerraLift machine uses a long, narrow probe to penetrate the soil and open clogged passages with compressed air and “soil enhancements.” This produces cracks and tiny fissures within the soil, allowing for proper ventilation of fluids and gasses. When that happens, the soil’s natural circulation is renewed, allowing for ground and root recovery, heathier vegetation and, as before, a properly functioning leach field. (Yay!)

Step 1
A long narrow probe is inserted into the soil. In leach field applications, the probe is usually inserted beneath the layer of stone. The depth and width of the treated area can be adjusted from two to six feet, depending on what’s needed.

Step 2
Compressed air is forced through the probe at a controlled rate, to loosen and fracture the soil (don’t worry soil, this won’t hurt a bit).

Step 3
Soil enhancements are injected into the cracks and fissures. These materials maintain open passages to enable fluids and gasses to flow freely and prevent re-compaction.

Do we do this in just one location? Nope. The three steps above are repeated every six feet or so in the affected area. Space permitting, the soil next to the treated area is fractured as well.
